Basement #6

I started to play guitar at the start of the nineties, culminating in the acquisition of a Fender Stratocaster, which for a few years was the centre of my existence. I also used to go “The Blues Bar” in London regularly, so this mix encapsulates some of my favourite guitar and band based records.

Being a Basement mix (from deep down in my Vinyl basement), I have also included some records one used to listen to as a child – opening up a window into my childhood – from my parents record collection. “… Very ‘Eavy … Very ‘Umble” by Uriah Heep was one of the biggest records in my household, as were The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Jethro Tull, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young with The Who’s “Baba O’ Riley” being one of the first records I committed to memory.

As you have probably come to expect, this mix is “All Thriller” as there are ”No Fillers”, and as ever, this is a Special “Vinyl Only” mix, recorded on two turntables and a mixer.
